Over 30 years of Keyboard and Piano experience. I will teach you at your pace. I have appeared on TV and Radio with my music. I will guide you through all aspects of learning your new instrument. My methods work and are fun. I can cut the average tutorial time by 1/3 compared to many other teachers. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. I will inform you on the 12th week if it is worthwhile you continue learning the piano/keyboard. My pupils learn on the Tyros 1. I will teach you how to play, understand and compose. I can teach relaxation methods as part of music lesson or on a separate basis. References are available if so desired. Block bookings are available and those times slots are closing. Please Note: Learning an instrument takes time, patience and money. If you are not serious about learning then please do not contact me or waste my precious time as there are many pupils who really do wish to learn. Pupils under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. You will learn scales to start and progress through my training programme. Once you have achieved this which should take less than 12 weeks we will move on to my music plan and then popular and classics. I award all my pupils with certificates if they meet specific criteria and will promote competitions with my pupils. I will offer 30 minutes free 1st time consultation. Lessons must be paid 2 weeks in advance. Saturday time slot's available. No teaching on a Sunday. Note: Many teachers will ask for money in advance this is due to the high turnover of pupils wasting teachers times. So please think before you decide on this learning process of the costs and time involved. After the lessons: I expect all my pupils to practice at home for at least 45 minutes per day. If you don't you waste my time and your money. Finally all pupils must be able to read and write and understand English. If I feel that a pupil is above average and develops well I will help them enter X-Factor and Britain's Got Talent.CRB checked.

I am a mature student and have been having lessons with John for 5 years now and have enjoyed every lesson. The Learning Process

OK so you really are considering taking this further, either for your children or maybe it's time you want to learn something new for yourself. You might even want to try all over again. We all have to start at the beginning. That's YOU! My course is well established and works. I make a bold statement when I say I can cut down your tutoring by a 1/3 compared to other piano teachers. Why? Well most piano teachers have gone through the basic methods as I did and they stick by those methods. Do the old methods work? Yes they do! They work perfectly well and all those who learn by the traditional methods become accomplished pianists/keyboard players. My methods are slightly different. Not much but enough to shave off a considerable time in learning your new instrument and saving you months of work. Firstly, I have to understand WHY YOU want to learn an instrument, then why the piano/keyboard. Have you the time, money and dedication to do this. Will your parents, friends support your desire to succeed? Just because I can cut down the time scale of the learning process does not mean that you will be an accomplished player with in weeks or even months. Unfortunately there are a few who think they can learn an instrument in weeks or even within 3 months. If that is you please do not read further! All of my students regardless of age will be on a set course. The course works; it has done for many and has brought joy to their faces within a short time frame. However, we start at the very beginning. You will be told what books to buy and where to purchase them. I will suggest the best keyboard if you want to buy a new one and you will get a discount! If it is your first time don't go crazy by spending thousands of pounds that can wait till you are playing Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven or even Film music. You will see from one of my pages that I have composed music and have been on TV, Radio and in several magazines. You too can do this if you put your time and effort into this project/hobby. If you have read this so far, I'm pleased you obviously are serious about learning. You will have to purchase several books as you will learn to play, to compose, basic theory, breathing, conditioning and relaxation. YOU will be playing at a decent level depending on your skill and how much time you put into this within 3-6 months.
